What a gem! Piney River RV Resort in Bon Aqua, Tennessee is a wonderful park. We stayed in space 46. Easy in and easy out. The campsite had a full level concrete pad along with a new picnic table, cool fire pit and string lights illuminating the area. WiFi was the best of any park where we have stayed. Streamed AT&T TV with no buffering or slowdown. Our view was a pasture with grazing horses and deer. People were friendly and very helpful. The park has river access and it has campsites directly by the water. If you are looking for a place to get away from it all, this is it. On a side note, they will send you directions. Follow them. Do not trust your GPS.

This was our first trip to the Piney River Resort. We lucked out and got a spot on 4th of July on Pad 32. Our first experience was fantastic! Live music, food and beautiful river access. The property was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We ended up getting a really nice fire pit included with our stay. We will definitely be returning soon!

We went to Piney river resort to stay in the tent for troops RV and I couldn't be more impressed. From the interaction with them on the phone, to being greeted when we arrived, all the way up until check out. The RV was beautiful and had everything we needed, the river area is gorgeous, the people were great. I would say if you have a tube or kayak, bring it!! Overall we had a great time and would return for another stay.

An absolute gem of a campground. Not too crowded or busy. The water is super clear and cold. The staff is the best part about the resort. Friendly, helpful and welcoming. Don't fret about the reviews saying the roads to the campground are tough...they are completely doable. We towed a 30ft travel trailer in and out with no problems. We will most certainly be back!

Such a great campground! Beautiful setting on the river with sounds to lull you to sleep. Friendly, helpful staff. Lois was helpful when making reservations. Casey, one of the owners, met us as we approached the campground. Michael, showed us to our site and helped us get backed in. Clean grounds and nice for walking around. Be sure and follow their directions and not GPS when exiting the hwy. The approach is a beautiful drive on country roads. We will be back and will plan to stay longer.

Piney River Resort was just the getaway that we needed. The landscape is beautiful and serene. The river is beautiful this time of year. I found the perfect spot to set up my chair by the water, do some fishing with the husband, and take a quick dip to cool off! The staff were very helpful as well! Even though we were just an hour from home, this felt like a vacation far away from the hustle and bustle of life. I'd recommend this to anyway looking for a peaceful and fun getaway, surrounded by a majestic landscape, and sky full of glimmering stars at night! Can't beat it!

I have stayed at Piney River Resort a few times now and I absolutely love the peaceful serenity of the park, they have the cleanest bathrooms of any park I have ever been to. The park is very well maintained and the staff is very courteous and prompt with all my questions and needs. I would rate both of my visits 5 out of 5 and would strongly recommend this serene little park to anybody great job Piney River Resort on making peoples getaways or business stays relaxing and enjoyable on a side note their were several children playing at this park and they all seemed to be well behaved and I didn’t hear any profanity and the kids seemed to be respectful which was a nice sight for today!

Policies, Rules, and Regulations

IMPORTANT: AS YOU APPROACH OUR PARK, OUR ADDRESS IS:

6869 Piney River Road N.  Bon Aqua, TN. 37025.  Click on address or please make sure to type in “N” (not NORTH, just “N”) to the end of the address for better GPS accuracy.

Here are written directions to our Park as GPS is not always accurate along Missionary Ridge Road:

Directions from I-40 Exit 172:

  • From I-40 take Dickson exit #172
  • Turn onto Hwy 46 South.
  • Go 5 miles, and turn right onto Church Rd
  • From this point on GPS may not be accurate.
  • Continue straight at railroad tracks onto old Hwy 46.
  • Go about 1/2 mile until you come to a 3 way intersection.
  • Stay RIGHT at the next 3 way intersection (Missionary Ridge Road).
  • Go down Missionary Ridge 8 1/2 miles until it dead-ends at Piney River Road N. (Towards the end of Missionary Ridge, parts of the road turn to gravel. Don’t worry! Your GPS may tell you to turn off of Missionary Ridge. Do NOT turn off Missionary Road until it “dead ends”.
  • Take the LEFT hand turn onto Piney River Road N.
  • We are right down the road about 1/4 mile.

Directions from I-840:

  • Come down 840 to Hwy 100.
  • Exit West on Hwy 100 towards Centerville.
  • Go 6 miles and turn right at stoplight on Hwy 46 towards Dickson.
  • Go down 1.5 miles and turn left on Church Rd.
  • Go down 1 mile and Church turns into Old Hwy 46. Stay left.
  • Go another 1/2 mile to 3 way intersection, and stay right on Missionary Ridge.
  • Go down Missionary Ridge 8 1/2 miles until it dead-ends at Piney River Road N. (Towards the end of Missionary Ridge, parts of the road turn to gravel. Don’t worry! Your GPS may tell you to turn off of Missionary Ridge. Do NOT turn off Missionary Road until it “dead ends”.
